Some tracks are born from inspiration so deep that they resonate on multiple levels, and Timeless Minds, Ageless Truths is exactly that. This is a song where the personal and the profound come together – rooted in family, culture, and timeless messages.

How It All Started – A Beat with Soul

It began with a beat. When A-G Music posted this track on his Instagram, something about it immediately captured me. It wasn’t just any beat – it featured a sample from Anita Baker’s "Rapture of Love", a song that’s always been a personal favorite of mine and my family. That soulful, smooth sound brought back memories and grounded the track in something familiar, something powerful.

The beat spoke to me so strongly that the lyrics came effortlessly. I wrote my verse, and that’s when I knew this song was going to be something special. But it didn’t stop there…

The Addition of Muhammad Ali – A Legend’s Voice

After laying down my verse, I felt like there was still more that needed to be said. That’s when I turned to one of my personal heroes: Muhammad Ali. I pulled from one of his most profound interviews, a 1972 sit-down in Ireland. In that interview, Ali spoke truth to power about freedom, Black independence, and human rights. His words were as relevant today as they were then, and they became the perfect counterpoint to my verses. Ali’s voice added a layer of depth that elevated the entire track, making it feel like both a reflection of the past and a call to the future.

Capturing the Visuals – Filming in Troy, NY

For the video, I wanted the visuals to reflect the themes of transformation, growth, and legacy that run through the lyrics. That’s why I filmed it entirely by drone in Troy, NY, surrounded by the beautiful autumn colors. 🍂🍁 Those vibrant leaves, the changing landscape – they represent the natural cycles of growth and change that are at the core of this track.

What’s more, throughout the entire video, I’m sitting in a park reading the book Yurugu, a deep dive into African-centered thought and deconstruction of Western ideologies. What you don’t know is that behind the book, I’m controlling the drone! The drone’s movements symbolize the unseen power we have to guide and shape our future, even when it’s not immediately visible.

A Heartwarming Finale – Family at the Center

The most personal part of the video comes at the end. After all the reflection, my wife and two daughters run out from behind the trees as if to say, “Hey Daddy, are you done reading yet?” It’s a heartwarming moment that brings everything back to what truly matters – family, love, and the legacy we build for those who come after us.

That moment isn’t just a sweet scene; it’s a reminder that everything we do is connected to something bigger. This song, this video – it’s all about laying the foundation for a better future, for my daughters, for my family, and for our community.

The Call to Action – Building Together

Timeless Minds, Ageless Truths is a track that reflects the deep messages of our past, while reminding us of the work still ahead. From Anita Baker’s timeless voice to Muhammad Ali’s powerful words, this song is a reminder of who we are and what we’re striving for.

I’ve been blown away by the response so far, and I want to keep this energy moving. Big shoutout to A-G Music for the incredible production – this track wouldn’t have been the same without that soulful beat. Should we keep building together? Let’s show some love and keep this collaboration going.
